Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer • Strong proficiency in Python • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teammates • BS in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • Experience with large-scale data processing engines like PySpark/Apache Spark/MapReduce/Databricks/Snowflake • Experience with any of the following technologies: asyncio, gRPC, Django, FastAPI, Terraform, Parquet file format • Experience working with datasets of 10s of millions of entities, especially as a knowledge graph or similar format • Experience building and scaling data pipelines • Experience collaborating with stakeholders on data-related problems alongside data analysts, data engineers, and data scientists.
Responsibilities
• Designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining complex software systems within a team environment. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize technical requirements for new features and enhancements based on business needs. • Leading the architectural design of scalable solutions that meet performance goals while ensuring code quality standards are met throughout development cycles. • Mentoring junior engineers, providing guidance in best practices, coding styles, testing methodologies, and career progression within our engineering team structure. • Participating actively in technical discussions with peers to foster innovation and continuous improvement of the software products we develop for WireScreen's clients. • Managing project timelines using Agile or other relevant frameworks while ensuring that deliverables meet client expectations within agreed upon deadlines. • Troubleshooting, debugging complex issues in production environments to minimize downtime and ensure high availability of our software services for WireScreen's clients. • Staying current with emerging technologies relevant to the industry by attending workshops, conferences, or webinars; sharing knowledge within team meetings when appropriate.
