Software Engineer

• Develop and maintain software applications to meet business needs within the PoS Engineering domain in Manchester. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, testers, and other engineers on various projects from conception through deployment. • Write clean, efficient code that adheres to company coding standards using languages such as Python or Java commonly used within the organization. • Debug applications by identifying issues in existing systems when required for maintenance tasks. • Participate in code reviews and contribute feedback based on best practices learned from senior engineers. • Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to PoS Engineering, such as mobile development frameworks or cloud services like AWS/Azure/GCP. • Document software designs and architecture decisions for future reference by team members. • Test applications thoroughly using automated testing tools before deployment into production environments. • Monitor application performance post-deployment through logging and monitoring systems to ensure optimal user experience, addressing any identified issues promptly with the development team.
