Requirements
• Ubuntu/Linux server administration experience. • Container-based Linux systems in production. • Background in managed hosting or SaaS infra. • Solid PHP, Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB in production. • Cloud provider experience (GCP, OCI, AWS, Azure). • Automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
Responsibilities
• Monitor and maintain the health of infrastructure systems to ensure high availability and performance for our customers' applications and services. • Implement security measures across all layers of IT architecture including network devices, servers, storage solutions, databases, cloud platforms, virtualization technologies, container orchestration tools (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, etc., as well as the overall infrastructure design to protect against threats while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. • Design, develop, deploy, manage, troubleshoot, optimize, monitor, test, document, maintain, migrate, scale, retire, or replace IT systems in a timely manner using various tools such as Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation templates, Kubernetes YAML files and Helm charts. • Implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity by restoring services quickly after an outage with minimal impact on customers' operations or data integrity. This includes testing backup systems regularly using tools such as Veeam Backup & Replication for virtual machines, VMware vSphere and NSX Data Center Manager for physical servers, AWS CloudFormation templates to provision infrastructure in the cloud, etc. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, security, business analysts, product managers, customer service representatives, quality assurance engineers, DevOps professionals and other stakeholders as needed throughout all phases of system design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, maintenance, migration, scaling or retirement. • Stay up to date with the latest technologies in infrastructure management such as cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), virtualization solutions (VMware ESXi/Hypervisor, XenServer), CI/CD pipelines, etc. • Provide training to internal teams on best practices in infrastructure management such as security hygiene, system monitoring, troubleshooting techniques and disaster recovery plans using various tools like Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation templates, Kubernetes YAML files and Helm charts.
